Chiltern Railways warn customers of widespread disruption next week
Train operator Chiltern Railways has warned customers to only travel on its services if absolutely essential next week.
Between 13 - 17 December and 19 - 20 December, no Chiltern Railways services will run north of Banbury.
On 18 December, no Chiltern Railways services are expected to run.
On strike days (13, 14, 16, 17 December), services will start later and finish much earlier than usual. Services will run between approximately 8AM-4PM.
On 15 December, there also be a late start to services, but they will run later into the evening.
Owing to further industrial action between 18 December and 2 January, Chiltern Railways are expecting significant disruption throughout this period. The expectation is that there will be a limited availability of staff, and that there will be a risk of short-notice cancellations. Chiltern Railways will endeavour to give customers 48 hours’ notice in the event of service cancellations.
