Free travel for veterans and military personnel to attend Remembrance Services this weekend with Chiltern Railways
Chiltern Railways, alongside the rest of the rail industry, is offering free travel for serving military personnel and veterans to attend Remembrance Day services this weekend.
If serving military personnel or veterans are travelling into London to attend Services of Remembrance, free travel on Chiltern Railways services to London Marylebone will be available on either Saturday 9 November or Sunday 10 November.
Free return travel from London will be available on Sunday 10 November only.
For those travelling to attend a service of Remembrance outside of London, free return travel on Chiltern will be available on Sunday 10 November only.
The offer is open to serving military personnel in uniform or in possession of a current MOD90 Ministry of Defence-issued identity card.
Veterans travelling on these dates will need to show a Veterans Railcard, Veterans Oyster card, MOD-issued Veterans ID or other appropriate proof of service.
Michael Stewart, Commercial and Customer Strategy Director at Chiltern Railways, said:

“Helping with travel for military personnel and veterans this weekend is vitally important so that the armed forces community can pay their respects more easily.”
Chiltern Railways is also holding three separate Remembrance Services at London Marylebone, Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa.
The following Remembrance services are being held by Chiltern Railways:
- London Marylebone Station – Friday 8 November at 10.30am
- Birmingham Moor Street Station – Friday 8 November at 10.50am
- Leamington Spa Station – Monday 11 November at 2pm
