Chiltern Railways warns of engineering works taking place on 9th and 10th February

Chiltern Railways has advised customers travelling on the weekend of the 9th and 10th February that there will be track improvement work taking place between London Marylebone and High Wycombe.

This will mean that customers may need to travel via diverted and/or alternative routes, so journey times may be extended. The work taking place will allow Network Rail to carry out improvements as part of Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan and also to prepare the way for Britain's new High Speed Railway.

Alan Riley, Customer Services Director of Chiltern Railways explains: “We appreciate that engineering work is disruptive to our customers and we are doing everything we can to minimise this disruption as much as we can. It is essential that anyone travelling on the 9th and 10th February checks their journey before they travel, as this will impact all our routes.

“We also recommend purchasing tickets in advance from our website or app to save time at stations and guarantee the best price.”
