Chiltern Railways warns of engineering works taking place on 8th and 9th February

Chiltern Railways has advised customers travelling on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February 2020 that the line through Wembley Stadium is closed with additional works taking place at West Ruislip.   A heavily amended timetable will be in operation and journey times will be considerably longer than usual. Passengers may need to travel via alternative/diverted routes and/or on rail replacement buses in order to reach their destination.

This work forms part of Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan and includes Network Rail track improvement to increase the reliability of the rail network.

Additionally, on Sunday 9th February, engineering works between Birmingham and Stourbridge Junction mean that no Chiltern Railways services will operate between Kidderminster and Birmingham Moor Street. Chiltern Railways services between Marylebone and Birmingham will serve Birmingham Moor Street station only. Passengers travelling to/from Birmingham Snow Hill and stations to Kidderminster are advised to use West Midlands Trains services.

Customers are advised to:

  • Allow extra time for their journey
  • Check their journey before travelling as most journeys will be affected
  • Purchase tickets in advance from our website or via the Chiltern app to save time at stations and guarantee the best value fare.
