Chiltern Railways changes timetable from Monday 4th January to provide certainty for customers
Chiltern Railway services from Monday 4th January will be moving to a slightly reduced timetable to ensure that vital train services for those needing to travel can keep running. Overall, the new timetable represents a reduction of 42 trains each weekday and customers should check their train times on the Chiltern website before travelling.
The move ensures the train operator can deliver a service that customers can rely on following an increase in sickness and the number of staff needing to isolate due to Covid-19. With almost all the Chiltern network in Tier 4, customers in these areas should make fewer journeys if possible and only travel if they need to such as for work or school. This timetable will remain in place until further notice, though services will be kept under regular review.
Richard Allan, Managing Director of Chiltern Railways said: “It's vital that customers can rely on the services that we run and it's for this reason that we have implemented these changes to the timetable. This new timetable will ensure that we can continue to run a safe and reliable service for those who need to travel.
“We strongly encourage our customers to continue following Government advice if they have to make a journey with us, such as wearing a face covering at all times unless exempt and maintaining social distancing.”
